I Don't know what to do!!!My older sister is getting married labor day weekend. My parents aren't happy, my grandparents are really upset, and I don't want to see this happen!
 
 My sister  is 23 and been going out with this guy for about a year, this guy has never made a move to get to know my parents, or try in any way to meet their expectations. He doesn't work, needs some surgeries, won't even try to loose weight to make those surgeries possible.
   
   My sister and I were raised in a very very conservative setting and he was raised a street kid. He thinks my parents are quacks and that all us kinds have been ruined and my parents did it all wrong. My dad made every move in his busy life to try to get to know this guy but he never tried to do his part. Then one day he asked dad if he can marry my sis, dad looked at him and said "why? you don't have a job, you're aren't taking care of yourself so you can get those surgeries, you have sat here for two hours saying how much better your life will be with her, but not one word about how her life will be better for HER. You haven't met my requirements of coming out and hanging out with the family on weekends. No you don't have my permission, but you have it to enter a stage of more commitment" This guy said well if that's how you feel, screw you, you just don't want your daughter happy and he asked my sis to marry him at a party. He did in front of a crown cuz then she wouldn't say no. And he said that's why he did too!!

  All my relatives are upset, this guy won't let my sis come hang out with the family alone, he is a mater manipulator, and my sis is totally falling for it!! She didn't ask mom or grandma or even her own sisters to go with her to buy a dress, she had friend go with her. All this is making me so sick, my sister is so blissfully unaware of what is going on, and yet she refuses to listen to my parents advice. Pretty much the only person who can make a difference here is ME. and I'm scared. Since she started going out with this guy I haven't once got to hang out with her alone, her BF is always there. I really need to talk to her. Even tho I am 4 years younger I was in that situation before with a big jerk trying to marry me. My dad is so upset about seeing his daughter getting sucked into this, he is giving up, he might not even walk her down the isle...what do I do!! I am the only one who can maybe get my sister to wake up!!

   whew that was LONG...please answer, I am trying to get my sister to hang out this evening without her fiancee but I doubt he will let her be alone with me. He knows I don't like him.

Daaaaaang wow uhhh....this is tough to answer but ill try hmmm...i guess the first thing to do is pray for your sister above all if you want to talk to your sister...my best guess is call her and tell her you need to talk to her privately just you two tell her its an emergancy because really it is if she wont come alone then honestly idk wat you should do uhh you should also really pray for her fiance pray he will change for the best because thats wat really is important, that he will change so your sister will be fine its gonna be hard to pray for him but youll need to so unless you can get to talk to your sister alone, i hate saying this but then there will probably be nothing you could do if you cant talk to her alone because this guy is completely manipulating her so really your gonna have to pray like get your whole family together and pray together you would be suprised wat can happen when you pray in unity with people its pretty amazing so whatever you choose to do good luck

thanks! I met with her and we talked a lot. she is happy with this..and works with it all so I guess that's that! She is getting married and I guess we all better just be happy!

all you can really do is state your concern and pray about it, cuz in the end, if they wanna stuff upp their lives (worst case scenario) we can't really do anything else...
