Will he 100% always initiate?

I'm really shy, and the guy I like is too. Here's something I messed up on. I deleted him from my facebook, with the intent of getting over him. But I ran into him a few months later, and we had a pretty good conversation. So I added him again recently, even though I worry that he thinks it was a strange thing to do. But he hasn't said anything, or commented, or emailed. Should I email him? Would that be initiating too much? If he liked me, would he let me know?

guys get nervous too. They don't have many people to look up to about this- it's generally accepted that women can go after men, it's kind of only the church that says guys should be the initiators (and I'm not sure they are right or wrong Biblically, but there are huge reasons why the guy should be pushed to do that- like later in life they will have that experience to push them forward). I don't think a quick "hey, how is your summer going?" would be too forward.

it will make it his day if you talk to him first. You kinda have to light the spark on the dynamite so he'll be himself

ok first I was in a similar situation, and I kinda was too pushy... not overly, but like I txtd him once a week... doesn't sound too bad, but it scared him haha.

i think casual convo's (as long as they're not like everyday) once in a while is fine.
