how do i respond? i owe money to the guy i love and gave him cheques. and it,s over a year ago already and he still hasn't cashed them yet and i've asked him twice if he'd cashed them already. each time "no i haven't yet". i wish he'd do it so i can forget about it.

I guess if he's not banking them, all you can do is leave it... it's his fault if he loses it. If he tries to blame you you can just say "Im sorry, I gave you the cheques and it was your job to bank them, if you didnt and you lost them, its not my problem." Maybe next time you see him say "Ive done my part and gave you a cheque, if you arent gonna bank it, and you lose it, Im not giving you any more money." I donno. Its hard...

Since it's bothering you, you should tell him that it's really bugging you, and give him a three way choice:
a.) Cash them within the next 30 days
b.) Have the check frozen and pay him in cash
c.) Freeze the check and forget the money
Because if you think about it, he's not paid until he has the cash/has deposited it... so you still owe him the money... except now it's formal that you owe it to him, because it's a check...

Really, leaving it like that is just mean... don't blast him for it yet- he might not realize it is. So yeah.

Actually, Will has a better idea... lol. if it is bugging you and you're worrying about it, it's better that you say something, cuz if he's worth it (because you like him.) he'll understand why you're worried. but yeah, dont be real mean about it.

i tried that again! i text him asking him if he'd cashed the cheques i gave him. then he replied that no he had not done it yet. i wood like to no why not but don't want to make myself look like a fool, to just go ask him why not. so what should i say to him. i don't no if i should just go up to him and ask him. even tho i wood like to no what his problem is that he doesn't cash the cheques cuz the one time i asked him i told him if you can't find them then just let me no and i'll write out another cheque. i really don't think that there is really a problem as far as i no
