| Okaaay, I feel really weird asking this, but Nateynate, on one of Anthony's (Clockwork*'s) posts, you said something about having the gift of prophecy... elaborate, please? How do you know for sure? |

I hope I didn't sound offensive... I'll admit, I was a little skeptical at first when I saw that you said you had that gift, but as someone who has one of the other "sign gifts", I'm not going to doubt you... just wanted some details.  Maybe email me? |

| ill just tell you now ha i know i have it because i have prophesied before over people and the stuff has come true and its also based on faith. I have faith that when God tells me to tell somebody something about their future it will be true cause God wouldnt lie. So yea thats how i know |

Maybe it's just me, but it's a little against my personal convictions to say, publically, "I have the gift of prophecy (or any of the other sign gifts-tongues, healing, etc...)" but don't think I'm judging you for it. In fact, I'd like to talk about it more, if you don't mind.
It's just that I prefer to keep my sign gift private. If I were ever asked to use my sign gift in front of people or asked about it in an interview, I'd be thinking, "HOLD IT!!!" lol. But feel free to ask me about it sometime, I just might respond OFF of the site, though.
(And just so you know right away, I am most certainly NOT looking for a relationship!  ) |

| There are spiritual gifts. Serving, prophecy, leading, and more. It does sound weird when someone says they have the gift of prophecy, because so many of us have a bad connotation of it as witch craft or a weird religion. We don't think it sounds weird when someone says "I have the gift of serving" or I have the gift of leading. Personally, I have been told mine is the gift of counseling! In one book I read, they were saying how a person often doesn't know their own spiritual gifts but others observe them and can say what they are. If you want to know yours, ask around! |

| thats tight. Cool thing ive learned about tounges though is that it is brought by the holy spirt and anyone can speak in tounges if the spirt brings it (not trying to take away anything from you cause some people can do it more than others) but yea tounges is ligit. I have spoken in tounges before its pretty sweet |

| What do you mean by 'tight'? I know that a lot of people say that the gift of tongues has ceased, because of the whole charasmatic/emergent church thing, "Holy Laughter", uncontrolled tongues in church services, etc... but I don't buy into that at all. Paul did say that the gift WOULD cease, but he did not say when. I'm thinking it'll be when the new heaven and earth are formed, because everyone in The Body will just be praising God together and won't need the gift to do it... but I really don't know. Also, I know that tongues are a form of worship. It's encouraging. |

I agree with you on the ceasing thing but the thing about tounges though is that is is a gift that is brought by the holy spirit and so anyone can perform speaking in tounges. Other gifts like that are interpreting tounges, prophescy and the power of healing (those are just some). There are other gifts though that are blessed by God to a person at birth, like teaching or ministry or counseling. Haha no im not home schooled haha i just go on here at school from my phone when i get bored in class haha same with fb to haha |

| no. Some people have the gift just naturally and can bust it out whenever. Other people though can speak in tounges when the holy spirit moves over them and prompts the actual speaking in tounges. God yes does choose the first kind of people who can speak it whenever but he can also grant it to people during certain situations through the holy spirit. |
