ok does it bother any one when people shorten up words when they txt?? im just wondering.. i doesnt bother me. |

| ugh yes it bothers me when people use text slang. I can't stand it. It seems like either I'm not worth the time to spell it out or they aren't smart enough to use the whole word, even though I know they usually are! |

I use 'em when flirting, joking, or just happy as a lark, or for no apparent reason.  <---I use that one alot too.

I used to abbreviate every word until I started using a different phone and it spelled the words for me. now I have very proper English...I think! and I use for any time I would be smiling if I was with the person...sadly it doesn't show exactly the kind of smile!!  |

| I used to abbrevate words and then got a phone that would not tollerate slang so I switched and now hate slang, though, i dont mind it when others use it. :p |

i dont think it matters to me realy people need to be themselfs, so i think if someonr says i've instead of i have it does not matter, sometimes thats just them or life just gets in the way and you just try to hurry, but at least they are themselfs in what ever way they need to to just say i'm not you, i'm me, my own person different then anyone else

| i use for everythin...i wud be so lost in my txn witout them an i shorten my words all the tym..as yal can tell its so annoyin havin to spell everythin out..its def not lik im who im txn aint worth the tym or anythin...jus way easier |

| I have a question- how do I (verbally or subtly) let a guy I'm getting to know that it's not okay to just text me all day? I'd so rather he just called than feel like I should be typing a reply or waiting for a response! I think texting is fine sometimes, but having a whole conversation is so annoying. I have so many other things to do than wait for a reply to something that would take five seconds to say. |

I had the exact same problem with one of my friends, and to tell the truth the only thing you can do is come straight out and tell them but in a nice way of course lol.
