At my school we are having our prom pretty early this year. I currently don't like anyone as more than a friend.  I have been looking in my school to see who might be a possiblity to ask.  I have narrowed it down to two people.  Problem is, one of them is my friend's girl that he likes.  The thing is that he has clearly been given the sign that she doesn't like him.  He knows this too.  I'm not trying to hurt him or anything.  My intention is not to date her, but to just go to a dance with her.  Would it be wrong in asking her?

I'd say, for the sake of not hurting your friend, it's probably better not to take her...
is there any girl who's like a really good friend, that you could just go with as a friend?
I went to my dances with guy friends, and it was fun as... even though we ended up ditching each other and hanging with our girls/guys haha.

Turn up the music
Turn it up loud
Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

Ask your guy friend (the one who likes her) how he would feel about going on a double date as just friends. You could ask maybe two or three girls to go with you guys.

What's the story with the other girl?

One step at time,
I trust these feet of mine,
To carry me on to where I belong.
