Alright, one thing that is really starting to get on my nerves is arguements and heated debates between different churches, pastors, ect. Why cant we all just get along and get over our differences?? So what if one church believes in speaking in tongues, and one doesnt? Does that mean the one thats wrong is gonna go to hell? Or decieve others to go to hell? Isnt our highest priority supposed to live for God and spread the Gospel and to Love ALL others?? I think we need another Paul, to straighten out this mess....its just gettin old. And im not talking about simple debates, im talkin bout HEATED ARGUEMENTS that ive seen.

thats why when people ask me my denomination, I say "christian... and if I have to be more specific, prodestant." just cuz i think denominations are... just belief specific... my mum was anglican, my dad pentecostal, and then when I went to uni, I went to an open bretheren church, and I have friernds from all denominations...

and i dont have anything against catholics... I just dont exactly understand everything in the catholic church, so i can't say i agree or dont when i dont know enough haha.

but yeah, we're supposed to, according to the bible, to respect what others see as important, like someone who doesn't eat pork, cuz of their beliefs etc... you know, like the tongues thing, but not critisize them and learn to love our differences.

If the churches didn't have variety, it'd be hard for everyone to fit into one "set" kinda church...

but you know... a christian is a christian, and if they love God, that's all that matters.

Take a few chances
Let it all out
'Cause you won't regret it
Lookin' back from where you have been
'Cause it's not who you knew
And it's not what you did
It's how you live

I know!!! I have been through several church splittings because people wouldn't agree. So many people get caught up in what you do what you wear and how you do it and that's not the point! we're here to be examples of Jesus!

I know! I am so going to go on a rant! In one month, we are leaving the church that we've been a part of for the past three years (ever since it started) partly because of that (I won't say the other reasons). The church isn't officially splitting, but enough is enough! Clare is right; we're not supposed to judge others like that cuz it's stupid.l

There is so much drama in my church.

I think that this is the root of the problem:

When people read the verses in the New Testament that discuss peace among the body of believers and confronting others directly instead of behind their backs, they automatically think of someone else that this would apply to instead of seeking to correct the problems within themselves. For example, "Mr. So-and-so could really stand to read this verse."

God did not give us a spirit of timidity, but a spirit of POWER, of LOVE, and of SELF-DISCIPLINE. So do not be afraid to testify about our LORD.

Rose, that is a great point!

I know the guy who's pastoring our church thinks that getting offended is a good thing...

idk, I dont actually like being told that because I am an Alto, and can't really sing in the key he wants, that I'm killing the Holy Spirit... plus I think that's rubbish, cuz you can't "Kill" the Holy Spirit... You can quench it, but I dont see how that relates to my vocal range... haha
