| So...I have never ever had a boyfriend before and I'm only 16 so I get it. But I have been praying about it for a super long time and there has been times when I would lose my faith. And I do understand that God has perfect timing for everything and the longer I wait the more special a relationship could be. And don't get me wrong I have had guys ask for my number and such. But literally EVERY single one of them flirts with other girls or already has a girlfriend. And I really believe that there must be something wrong with ME cause every single time there has always been another girl. Then I think maybe it's just because I am shy and they don't try to get to know me because they are afraid of being rejected? I don't know. It's just I really want someone to talk to and make a thousand cookies for and it be okay. |

| Haha lol. In this situation its just cause your looking at the wrong guys. Sometimes you just have to look at the shyer guys. The cocky ones are sometimes the ones you want to avoid. Sometimes the rigjt guy is the one you least expect. Look all over the apple tree. Don't just see the apples on your side of the tree. |

Emily... WOW. talk about exactly what I've been through, and still go through and I'm 22...
and I won't go into all my past failed attempts or crushes etc haha, if you really wanna know, there are thousands of posts about it somewhere on here 
but it's not you, and I honestly don't know the right answer, but i don't think you're looking at the wrong guys... and I know you can't help who you like... trust me, i should know... haha.
I think you just need to firstly come to a point where you love yourself for who you are, and second, be content that God is your one and only and with Him, you are complete... then and only then will you be in a mind frame to see things clearer and have a better judgement of guys etc.
I can't promise there won't be more stupid crushes etc before then, but it's alot easier if you've got that stuff sussed out  |

Thanks you guys!..you have no idea how much your advice means to me...and I sorta get it now...I will live like with or without a boyfriend God is the only one I need to feel complete and truly happy...God is who I need to put my time and energy in thinking about, not boys. haha Thanks again

I know exactly how you feel! I'm going to be eighteen in a few months, and until three months ago, the only male attention I'd ever recieved was some very explicit sexual harassment from a mentally challenged boy... nice, huh?
This was especially hard because I had had feelings for my best friend for six years, and he had been sending some major mixed messages.
We're now courting, wih an eye toward marriage someday.
All I can say is that, to the right kind of guy, there's nothing as beautiful as a woman truly sold out to God. If there aren't any boys like that in your life righ tnow, you're not missing out on anything, and the right kind of man will come!
