I really like Philippians 4:6-9
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable-if anything is excellent or praiseworthy-think about such things. i said i liked micaiah jabez, so here's my scripture for jabez:

Jabez was more honorable than his brothers. His mother had named him Jabez, saying, "I gave birth to him in pain." Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, "Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory! Let your hand be with me, and keep me from harm so that I will be free from pain." And God granted his request. - 1 Chronicles 4:9-10

i read a book last year called "the Prayer of Jabez for Teens". it basically commentated on those specific verses. most of you can agree that chronicles are REALLY boring books, haha. and, by the name, it really only chronicles the lineage of the kings. so you're reading through it, mulling along, and all of a sudden, jabez pops up. and (the book i read put it well) the writer immediately says to himself, "i better put down more about this guy, he was a good one." and i love that jabez cried out, he didn't just ask. he pleaded with God.

so my first son's name will (probably, considering i'm doing 9/10 of the work, i'd say i have a pretty good chance on naming rights!) be micaiah jabez. outspoken, unashamed, and honorable.

I love so many verses I cant pic a fav - but one of mine is Phil. 4:6-7 "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. I love all these verses, especially the one in Philippians. I have a lot of favorite verses but here's one i really like: "But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall mount up on wings as eagles, they shall run and not grow weary, they shall walk and not faint"- Isaiah 40:31 I also like the one from Jeremiah 29:11, the one that talks about the plans that God has for your life, and the verse where God tells you that: "For surely I am with you always, even to the end of the age." It is so comforting

Nicole ~ I LOVE those verses!!! My mom did a chapel (sermon at my private skool) a few weeks ago and used the Isaiah verse. Its been like my THEME VERSE over the past few weeks and I'm doing chapel today and was totally planning on using it again! AWSOME verse. It keeps me going! Also the Jeremiah one is both my best friend's and boyfriend's favorite verse and they quote it alot!!! I LOOOOOVEEEE them!!! awsome!!!

That's so cool!! Yeah, i have to agree with you, i find such comfort in those verses because they remind me that I'm in God's hands and that He has a plan for my life and He WILL sustain me.

Don't even start me on baby names!! I have 3 pages written in my diary (yes, first and middle names)..........
My favourite verse....

Ezekiel 36:26 - "A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh and I will give you a heart of flesh..."

I really liked that one. :)

Male:

John (My Grandad, second name most probably my husband's grandad's name)

There's just a couple. I have WAY more girl's names than boys. Guess I plan on lots of girls! ;) And some of them I wrote down about 2 years ago - when I had a phase of making up names. Seriously, some of them are REALLY far out!!

my fav is probably psalm 23

and i also like the Prayer of Jabez. It's really cool because your not just asking god for one thing but for him to do whatever he wants with your life.

Oh man, there's some amazing verses here. I love seeing how the Word affects people differently. It shows God's personal relationships with us, I think.

My life verse changes about every week. Right now: "Yet, O Lord, You are our Father; we are the clay, and You our Potter, and we all are the work of Your hand." Isaiah 64:8. Really just allowing God's will in our lives. I try to control my life a little too much sometimes.

I also really communicate with God through music. It's huge to me. MewithoutYou songs like "Four Word Letter (Part Two)" and "Carousels". Ugh, so many. I would post lyrics, but it would take up everything. Music is amazing, that's all. [=

Aw I love that verse Lydia-jayne! It reminds me of the Donut Man! Did any of you every watch him when you were little? There was this one time that they visited a potter and they started singing that song, "You are the Potter, I am the clay, make me and mold me, this is what I pray." And I absolutely love that song cuz it just brings me back to being a little girl. That song had such an impact on me when I was really really young and I just love to see how God was with me even before I really understood Him. He comforted me with that song when my world was perfect as an innocent little girl. We acutally sang the song at a school retreat ( i go to a Christian School btw) and I sang each word as my prayer. When I first heard the song I didn't understand what it meant to let the Potter truely mold you, I didn't really know what I was singing, but when we sang it then I could just see the video playing in my mind and just thought, "God, yes, this really is my prayer." So totally amazing verse! THankyou!!!

That's awesome that you had that song (and verse) with you since you were so young! That's comforting because I teach three and four year olds once a week at church and I get so discouraged that they're not learning. Obviously, some things stay with us and that's awesome that you can still apply that to your life now. It's the Living Word. Truly amazing!

Aw no problem. I've gone to a Christian school my whole life, and I teach lil kids too and sometimes I feel like they get it for five minutes and then thier attention span is gone and they forget, however, I love to see how God did impact me through what i've been taught. I know Psalm 23 by heart because we memorized it in 1st grade and now it gets me through so much and I'm so glad I was taught it way back then. I still have songs from VBS, that are corny and childish, that I STILL sing sometimes because those songs really spoke to me! This year I had the 1st and 2nd graders in my VBS class and the music was my favorite part, even tho the songs were very childish, the truths they had spoke to me, even at 14! It was so great to get all the little girls dancing with me too, becuase i know that one of these days God will use that lil silly song to really speak to them. So yea, little kids really do hear from God, sometimes they dont get it, but its those little seeds that will be with them when thier older that are so so so important.
