Hey guys,
I saw David's comment about starting a "miscellaneous" forum. I will see what I can do. :-)
In the meantime, feel free to discuss whatever.
We don't have to sit around talking about Jesus 24/7, but if I think the conversation goes against what Shaunti.com believes in and stands for, I will shut the conversation down.

Blah so i feel complately pathetic. First to use this bored though. Go me!
It is really sad that I am at work and am doing nothing but chatting on Facebook (facelibro) and posting on this forum.

Well since there's only two things here then i guess i can begin
here's a question for guys and i wanna see their opinion on this.
If your spouse was pregnant and they could only save one of them and one of them only.
1. The spouse
2. Or the baby
Who would you choose and why?

K I'm a girl... and I love kids...
but... if I loved the guy and I knew he was the one I want top marry, and he didn't want kids... honestly I'd have to think about it... but... idk i could probably deal without having kids... dont have to deal with being pregnant  and then I dont have to worry about my kids growing up in "this" world... but I do love kids and wouldn't mind having my own... |

| haha I would be thrilled to fall in love with a guy who doesn't want kids. First of all, I'm selfish and I don't want to be a stay-at-home mom or even have to get them dressed and buckled just to run down to the store for something- a trip that could be doubled in time just for bringing a baby along. Second, I'm not thrilled about where this world is going- I don't want to bring a child into this world. There are already so many out there who need homes and love. |

| I love kids and I want as many as God will bless me with. so if my future husband doesn't want any, ever... well... looks like that's a pretty BIG confirmation that we're not supposed to be together. I don't believe our God's a God who puts people together in impossible situations like that. |

| I was just talking about this with my boyfriend. Ok I'm from a family of 10 kids and I know I don't want 10 kids! I don't want to set a number either...he said 3? And I said leave that to God. So then we started talking about what if it was the choice between saving the baby or the mom...If I perposly made a choice I knew would save me and kill my baby, I would never be able to live with that. Jesus died that we might live and if I have to give my life that someone -even a baby- could live I would do it. I love kids and if a man totaly didn't want any kids just me, that would be a huge turn off. Everyone is different some people can handle 10 kids and some none is plenty! I have thought about if I really wanted to bring a child into this miserable world and thought I'd just do foster care or adopt, I do think a few children of my own would be wonderful though. |

| i would definately say the spouse!! there are other choices for kids (adoption and stuff) but honestly if i would've picked the child over the wife i dont think i'd be able to live w/ myself.... i mean , there's probably no1 like the girl that you're married to, and i'd definately choose my wife over the kid!! (not saying i don't like kids, i love them!! volunteer every summer and watch a bunch of them for free, it's just there will be other chances for kids, but your wife could b the only one out of the million on earth that means anything to you!!) make any sense? |

Ok so here's mine. In my opinion that would not happen. I AM going to be a mother. So God is going to bring the right guy into my life that will want kids also. And if he doesn't and insists that he will never want kids. Then he isn't the guy for me. Plain and simple. I live by the verse Hebews 11:1 Now faith is being sure of what we hope for and certain of what we do not see. I am sure that God will bring a man into my life that will want kids the same as I do.
No to address the topic on choosing the spouse or child. I think it would be hard to understand the level of Love the Father would have for his child. And I think that most Mother's would automatically give themselves up for their child. They wouldn't let it be a choice for their husband. if it came to it give themselves up for their child.
Thats just my opnion. Oh and also, I don't believe that there is one and ONLY one person out there for you. Your "one true love". There are plenty of guys that you can wind up with and be completely happy. If it were the case that there is only one person out there, it would be horrible trying to find that person. Imagine if they live in China or Australia or England. You could make one choice and because of that choice never meet that person. |

| OK, my husband is going to want to have kids. End of converstation. LOL. And we are adopting. And my first daughters name is going to be Sisilea. (Yes, its going to be spelled like that) See? Me planning all that out proves that I'll find a guy who would want kids! |

| I know I'm getting a guy who wants kids, and I sure hope I never have to end up in a situation where only me or my child will make it. I'm leaving that to God no good to worry about it too much now! |
