okay so I've been seeing a lot of girls around with their noses/bellybuttons etc pierced and was wondering if anybody has any idea what piercings (possibly ears and nose??) are acceptable in God's eyes? just need some clarification on this issue  |

| i have a nose peircing and my ears are periced but that pretty much is it. Some piercings are sex symbols know a days and your nose and ears i believe arnt haha so i believe if it isnt for a bad intetion than god will accept it. He loves you and as long as it is not for someone else like freinds or because everyoneelse is doing it than i think it is ok. Personaly i dont think piercings are wrong...welll afew are but i definently think nose and ears are safe. If you are till unsure you can pray or ask for more advise whoknows what there talking about xD. |

idk if I've talked to you in person about this... but there are verses in the bible, especially about a girl God honoured and she had a nose ring and pierced ears... so I think those are definitely ok...
but ick snake bites.... (I know you know who I'm talking about lol) I think are gross!!

there is one on using stuff like clothes and jewellery to be seductive, and thats wrong...
16 The LORD says,
"The women of Zion are haughty,

with ornaments jingling on their ankles.
17 Therefore the Lord will bring sores on the heads of the women of Zion;

I'm OK with piercings, I just don't like it when it's waaaay overdone! I have my ears pierced, and I don't think I'll do anymore.
I don't like it when guys get their ears pierced though.
Those were some goodverses JoJo. You really researched that! :^)

Those were the verses I was thinking of Jo but you saved me having to look them up thanks hehe
I think ears and maybe a nose stud are the most decent and are actually kind of pretty. I have my ears pierced. If it's an eye brow, tongue, belly button, cheek, or even on some places on your ear, it actually looks kind of dirty to me. Those belong with the black and purple hair, belly shirts, black leather, spiked belts and chains. maybe people on here are into that style..no offense. I see those people at the mall and their creepy!
I have another question that goes along with this. What do people think about tattoos? Right? Wrong? I talked with a friend about it and I wasn't so happy with the response!! |

Um the thing about Jesus with a "tattoo" on his leg, I think revelation says he has his name on his thigh? something like that, but it's more of a mark... there are differences between God marking a person and a person marking himself...
God will mark the believers in revelation with His mark, but as for tattoos, it does say in the bible somewhere that you shouldn't mark yourself. but of course if you did that b4 being saved, that's a different issue... |

I don't have an issue with tattoos. I think that personally with everything that is talked about here it is up to the person. Their values, their thoughts. Because God isn't going to NOT forgive you if you have a tattoo. Or take away His forgiveness if you get one.
I have three tattoos. One, and my first one is a medical alert tattoo. I am diabetic and was tired of having to buy a braclet everytime it broke, so i got it tattood on my wrist, with the symbol and it says type one diabetic. My second one I got last September. It is on my foot and says Savior, Father, Healer. It represents my journey with God and what he means to me. My last one is a small star on my other arm sortof inbetween my forearm and wrist, me and my sister got matching ones. Because I am in college and sortof leaving and going on my own. It is a way that we will always be connected.
And I don't think piercings are wrong either. I mean yes there are some that we could consider bad, because of where they are and their purpose. (I won't say where)
So I think that with both of those issues you have to look at why you are getting it. You have to make sure you are getting it for yourself, not for others. And with the tattoos you have to remember that they ARE permanent. You have to live with it FOREVER. So make sure you want it before you get it. I debated for months over my first tattoo. |

My grandad got tonnes of tattoos b4 he became a Christian, and some were quite dodgy... but you do have to seriously think about it. and if you are gonna get one, do bear in mind it is perminant, so dont get your bf's name tattood on you  haha, akward much if your husband ends up not having the same name
also read in revelation about the mark of the beast and probably stay away from tattooing those parts... seeing as we have no clue what the "mark" will actually look like or be like. |

| I have my Nose,Ears,Lip,Belly,Tounge,and my Eyebrow pierced... I also have 4 tattoos I got my name on my right wrist,Cross on my left leg,Rose on my lower back,and another cross with my name under on my right upper arm.... Yea i do sorda regret all of that it CRAZY!!!... |

I have my ears pierced, two holes. I want to get a bar on my upper ear, but I can't until Im older. I want to get my nose pierced and maybe my bellybutton. Alot of people i know have had infections with thier bellybutton piercings. And then I know some people who have them and look great. I think its up to you if you want a piercing, I would never get it done for a guy though. All the piercings I want are for me and my selfconfidence.
Oh, and I know people who have had bellybutton piercings and had them ripped out. Because, they ride horses, I also do and I dont want to get mine ripped out, when and if I get it. |

| I got a second hole in my ears a few weeks ago, and I love it =] I know that's kind of odd to love, but I do. None of the guys I know have commented, but most of my girlfriends either love it too or just smile, shake their heads and say "it's so you" =D |

| kind of odd question...I have had my ears pierced for a year and they were infected for 6 months. they were pretty much healed, the right one is, but the left one is still infected!!! Do any of you have that problem> I have 12 or 14 karat gold earrings in, I can't wear sterling silver. I have tried lots of things and still I get gross puss pockets and they bleed. |
