| I'm 20 years old and I have never dated anyone. I actually had to figure out how many days old I was my senior year of high school for math. I've been single for 7332 days and if you read one of my other posts about the community shot gun at my church (or if my dad gets his wish about not marrying until I'm 40), I'll probably be single for another 7300 days. lol |

| I'm with Clare- I'm not dating and I'm not really sorry about it. I like being able to live my life without worrying about whether or not guys are noticing me or if I can get a guys attention, I'm just letting God handle it and living my life! 1 Cor. 7.35 encourages me when I start getting mopey =] |

ya i no what you'll are talking about how you have a longing to have a friendship but then sometimes when you talk to your married friends you find out they think you are living a great life!! like when you talk about going away for a weekend or going out for mission work, they be like ''y don't you go!? you have nothing that stops you except you're work!" like they say GRASS IS ALWAYS GREENER ON THE OTHER SIDE, and i said to someone ''now that i am on this side of the fence(being single) i try to graze the grass SO short, that when i get married i'll not look back and say that grass is greener'' LOL!! i think i'll try to graze it short like horses do, they don't leave much over after they have grazed a field!! ha ha! so when i am married i'll not look back.
so while you are single enjoy it to the fullest that when you are married that you will not look back with a longing to go back! |

Hi, I'm Nicole and I've been single for 20 years. Yup! Never been on a date in my entire 20 years of living. I have to say that, for the most part, I've been pretty happy single and I haven't worried about it. I do confess that there are times when I do wish I had a special guy with me to escort me; talk to; go out with; This mostly happens when I see a bunch of other couples around me or see a movie. |

nowadays it is something else to say "Ive been single 20 years, never dated" in my case...only dated two guys in the last year...I've not dated for three months!!! sounds dumb! but...I'm trying to start over

LOL well now i'm 21 and still single
and atm it doesn't bother me. i mean there is a guy I'm interested in, that's another story. but I'm not going out of my way to get him to ask me out etc. I'm just enjoying being friends. if somehing comes of it, it does, and if it doesn't, then i still have a great friendship. Barlow Girl, the band, talks about their "Single" stand alot. it's pretty interesting. I can't remember what it's called, but there are prob a few of their interviews on Youtube. |

Haha it is quite the news in this day and age to be single for even 16 years of your life. I must day, I'm quite honored to be one of the "rare" cases. I usually like going against the norm- as long as it doesn't go against my beliefs. Someday I'd like to date- but I put that in God's hands. In my case- it is really hard to read people in terms of attraction. Maybe I'm just not looking? Haha anyways, guess I'll see what happens. |

haha is it weird to say that I've been single my whole 21 years of life... and been on tv 6 times or more haha sorry, just on a buzz cuz I was on tv tonight and my bro was too for the first time.
anyway. i think it's something awesome to say that you were single until you met your spouse... cuz you didnt play around haha and, it's not that they were the only person that would marry you, but that you totally kept yourself for that one person!! |

haha. thats quite an interesting reply "thatoneguy" haha.
mine was "date when a decent guy asks you out" until i went to college, now it's "wait til God reveals the person you should date" haha. and my friends think I'm insane waiting so long, but i think in the end it'll be worth it not that it's not hard... but it can be quite off putting when you're 21 and you have a 14 year old hitting on you... in front of your dad... and you're SO NOT interested... haha |

| Totally agree with all of ya'll. I've spent basically my whole life not "going out" with someone. And all my friends think that it was my choice. But sadly no. I think I would like to have that special person to talk to and be with. I see all my friends dating all these guys, and sometimes it's hard not to wonder if there's something wrong with me. (Am I ugly and just don't know it? lol) But I know that God has great things planned for me and that He'll give me "the desires of my heart" and that's definantly a desire. I refuse to believe that there isn't that one special guy out there for me. Until then, I plan on loving God with my whole heart. So technically, i'm not single. My guy just isn't of this world! lol. |

I'm actually fine with it; my one answer that I've given someone involved me shrugging my shoulders and something involving 'I guess I haven't really been looking to date.' I have to admit though- before I read FYWO and met you guys, I had no idea there were people like me who had never dated, even at the age of 20 |
